The holidays are nearly over… there are only four days left before the new school year starts again!

The Lower Junior Staff are looking forward to welcoming our new Year Two and Year Three children back to school!

The school starts for the children on:

Tuesday 7th September at 8.45am.

Children may come into their new classrooms from 8.30am onwards!

We are looking forward to seeing you then!

SCHOOL UNIFORM: Can be purchased from the Lower Junior School on Monday 6th September from 9.00am to 2.00pm in the school hall.

YEAR THREE EGYPTIAN DAY – SLIDESHOW

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday we promised an update on our closing SEAL assembly ‘CHANGES’. I am not sure nappy changes was what we had in mind! The children learnt that change is a part of life. Some changes we can control and others we can’t.  Some changes are happy and some are sad… what is important are the people around us; our family, friends and colleagues who can help us!

The children have also looked at changes to the Environment and how we can look after our planet in the future… We hope they have enjoyed learning about change and are now better equipped for the changes that life will put in front of them…

EGYPTIAN DAY: The Year Three children are having their Ancient Egyptian Day tomorrow. Ancient traditions, costumes, festivities and food are taking over the Lower Juniors! I hope I do not come across any mummies!

END OF YEAR ASSEMBLY: Please remember that our ‘Leavers Assembly’ takes place on Friday 16th July 2010 at 10.40am in the school hall. Parents are warmly invited to attend, please drop us an email to: info@lowerjuniors.com to let us know if you will make it so we can reserve you a seat!

CHANGES – OUR PRECIOUS EARTH…

Hi Everyone and welcome to Monday!

EXPERIENCE EVENING: On Friday night from 7.00pm to 9.30pm we had a lot of fun with the Year Two children as part of their Experience Evening. The children played games, sang songs and ate hotdogs and everyone had a lot of fun! My thanks to all the staff that came along and to Miss Williamson who organised the event for the children – Thank you! Some of the photographs from the event are below, do do enjoy these… there was also a lot of noise coming from the kitchen that night… If you’d like a sneeky peek into what was going on, click on the video below! END OF YEAR ARRANGEMENTS: A letter came home today with all the arrangements for this last week of school. The letter went home in hard copy and was also sent by email. You may DOWNLOAD an electronic copy HERE:

SEAL CLOSING ASSEMBLY – Changes: Miss Finney closed our SEAL theme today with a lovely look back across all the work that has been completed this term. We will display some of this work on our weblog tomorrow… in the meantime, enjoy the Year Two photos!
